Let's Craft Together Blog Hop April - Layers Of Beauty

April 4, 2024

Welcome to the our monthly Blog Hop by Let’s Craft Together and thank you for joining us. We are a group of multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. I am really excited to have been invited to join such a talented group. I know you will be inspired by our hops.

Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the months blog hop. This month’s challenge is water colouring! It is not my strong suit but i enjoyed having a go.

The new Layers of Beauty Stamp Set coming soon is going to be one of my absolute favourites in the New Upcoming Catalogue! By embossing the stamp in white i created the base for my water colouring.

I took 4 colours and using the reinkers and some window sheet i created an absolute mess on the page! To be honest you just never know how it will turn out. I then took some water painters and defined some areas, such as the main rose and the leaves having some green to them.

In good Bec fashion i stuck the painting upside down on my card, but the beauty of the stamp is it didn't matter. I could work with that and added my sentiment in the blank spaced area. I'm happy to be able to give this card away to a good friend of mine this week for their 10th Anniversary.

I really enjoyed this months challenge and cannot wait to see what everyone else has created, so be sure to hop along and check out all of the Talent we have here in Australia!

Thankyou for stopping by! Happy crafting!

  2. Can't believe you got such beautiful results with such a randomised method. Gorgeous bright colours which are set off by the white on black greeting.

  3. Gosh, how beautiful!! Pretty sure I’d get a muddy mess if I tried this, but you have inspired me. The colours are gorgeous, and I love the dotty additions around the image.
