I was so excited to make my first official card making video for Youtube today. Watch Me Today! There are a few moments where my mind went blank, but hey that's me in real life so welcome to reality with Bec.

I had a lot of fun with these cards as they look complicated but really the 'Friends Are Like Seashells' Suite just makes it so easy. A little blending and gold leaf and you can make anything pop off the page!

I used the shimmer white paper with our new blending brushes and it just makes life so much easier. The smooth texture of the paper makes the ink just slide right over and bland beautifully with the surrounding colours. Even thought he pictures do not show it this paper has an amazing shimmer that comes through and gives it a unique look.

I used the die cut from the 'In Bloom' Set to frame the beautiful Seashell sentiment and give it a real shape over such a simple card. The gold on black I felt gave a sophisticated look so i followed that with the embossing of the sentiment on a thin black strip to allow the background to shine.

This card just shows that you can start with a simple base but make each card so different with pops of colour and sentiments. I used the Pearlescent Specialty Paper in this card below. Add a little extra bling or ribbon and really make it your own.

I am so very excited to be participating in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Hop event for April. We want to say Thankyou to all those in our lives that keep us going everyday and show us such loving support in what we do and who we are as individuals.

I loved making this card as it not only brought a little sunshine with the array of colour but who can't smile from some a few Sunflowers in their lives? It may be subtle but this card features a lot of texture which gives us that added sense of warmth when opening the envelope.

I have used a card base of 'Misty Moonlight' with a thin border of 'Poppy Parade' balanced out by 'Basic White' card stock embossed using our 'Tasteful texture' embossing folder. I had fun with our 'Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine' being able to cut the 'Sunflower' Dies out allowing the 'Flowers For Every Season' Designer Paper to peep through and show its true beauty.

Don't forget those insides! It is very important to keep the smiles coming inside.
Once you start with one card you just have to make more... This paper deserved an army of cards lined around the block to give that cheerful smile some of us have needed this past year.

I hope this picture can give you even a glimpse at the texture that I tried to achieve in this card. I find having that special someone to say thank you too in mind really helps you push the boundaries and have a little more fun with  your cards. I was able to add just a touch of difference by using the 'Stampin Write Markers' to give the sentiment an extra lift of tone on tone. Balanced with a velum back ground and fussy cut to size I feel it just topped of this card just nicely.

If you would like to support me on this blog hop journey I would love to have you vote http://bit.ly/VoteForMeApril2021 Thank you for all your support and stay tuned for many more cards to come in the near future.

There are so many things you can do with daubers, an underestimated item in your craft draw I am sure. When was the last time you got your daubers out and used them?

From all that is retiring in the current catalogue the 'Rocco Rose' card stock will be my most missed item! Use it up, buy it before it stocks out. I will be honest I wasn't the best at blending with the daubers, it took a lot of trial and era and while I was testing them out these beauties were created.

Using 'Rocco Rose, Costal Cabana & Daffodil Delight' I just dabbed away until I got the desired look I was after. I didn't want to hide this beautiful feature so I found using the beautiful die from the ' Many Layered Blossoms Die" to be the perfect accent. Accented with 'Frosted Epoxy Droplets'
